TGIT?

Thank goodness it's Thursday! Friday for me! It's been awhile since I've been on, or so I'm told. It's been a rough few weeks. The weather has been lousy! We've seen more snow these past few months than we have in the last 5 years! I hate it! It can leave anytime. Along with that, my husband came down with the flu.....and I mean bad! He's not normally one to get sick and this one knocked him on his butt for a week! Women were not meant to be single parents. Kudos to all you women out there who are! I get down on my knees and bow down to you! The cleaning, the laundry, the cooking, the kids! Whooo! I don't care to repeat that anytime soon. I am SPOILED! I'll be the first to admit it!
He finally went back to work today...woohoo! Come to find out later...he was sick again this morning, but stuck it out anyway.....what a MAN! All I can say is.....if you get this nasty stuff, you better plan on being quarantined for at least 5-7 days if not longer! Doctor or no doctor.
Since he's finally on the mend, maybe I"ll actually be able to sit down and work on some long, overdue cards and swaps that need to be finished. We'll see..............Have a great weekend everybody!

Cuttlebug Card

I did this card for a cuttlebug swap that I'm in on SCS. Anyone else have one of these? I love it! What folders do you have? What's your favorite. I used the new 07 colors for this card....what do you think?

Yaaay for the weekend!

What a long week! No day off for me this week! Saturday is already gone and I haven't done any scrapping or any card making in probably a week. What is wrong with me. I did have stamp club though. It's sale-a-bration time in Stampin Up. I got the cute scalloped set of stamps. I can't wait until it comes, so that I can try it out. I ordered some new cardstock and a new roller and some new designer paper. It should be here next week, I hope. If you guys don't have a SU demo, you should. Their products rock! So does CTMH, but I don't want to sound biased. Have a great night everyone!
P.S. I've added a post of the card that I sent in for a swap. It was a lot of fun! What do you think?

I'm soooooooooooo tired!

Long day at work....I'm so tired. Yet when I'm at work, all I want to do is come home and go to my craft table. How can that be? I keep thinking of all the things that I could be doing or making, yet when I get here, I think.......maybe later! Does anyone else ever get like that? Where's my get up and go.....my gumption? The kids are both mad and in their room, dear husband is watching tivo, now is the perfect opportunity. Yet something holds me back. I know that I have several swaps that I need to complete. But...they're not due until March and April....I guess I am ahead of the game. What's a girl to do.....I guess I'll just have to stamp. Maybe I'll finally get the nerve to download some of my stuff so that you may see.
Have a great night ladies!!

What's in a name?

So.....one of my wonderful sisters on Bellaholics Anonymous sent me a link to .....What's in a name? I checked on the name of my blog and this is what it came up with.....and let me just say...it couldn't be more true. I mean it's kind of scary, but it's right on.

What Stampin Scraps Means
You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want. You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people.Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems.Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily. You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. Sounds just like me!

That's amazing!!! Do you want to try? Here's the link.....

So....I'm kinda new at this blog thing. I'll probably stumble a little along the way. Be gentle. If anyone has any tips on how to run this thing, I'm open to them.

My name is Dawn Springer and I'm addicted to scrapping and stamping and shopping for all the supplies that it takes to do so. Luckily, I'm a CTMH consultant.....I can feed my habit at a discount.

My husband partially supports my habit....as long as he doesn't know how much I'm spending and he doesn't see me adding to it....he's OK with it. What a great guy!

My kids think I have too much stuff...but what child doesn't think that their mother goes off the deep end about something. They never complain when they need a marker, colored pencil or some type of adhesive. Who's the momma then....that's right....ME!
